I'm going to be buying a new psu and mobo and here's what I was thinking: Please let me know if this will work with what I have for my setup already:

What I have:

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800

Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 Allendale 1.8GHz

GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

What I'm thinking of buying:

MOBO:

PSU:

What do you think? I went with the microatx board because of the price mainly...

As for the psu the 12V rail has some good output on it and for a good price so I went with that for that reason...

Good choices or bad choices? I'll defer to your opinions before I click "order"...

THANKS!

Thanks for the responses. I really appreciate it. It amazes me how helpful people are on here giving up their time to help complete strangers who (I'm assuming) most of the time do not even post a response to say "Thank you".

So, thank you...

You can save $6 and get a 650TX instead of the 550VX. It's a more powerful PSU too. It also has a little more flexibility because it has two (6+2)-pin connectors instead of one with 6 pins and one with (6+2).

If you're ready to upgrade the video card, I recommend the HD 4850. It's way better than the 7600GT and a lot of bang for the buck. The HD 4670 IH8U found is nice, but it costs $88 after shipping and has only 320 stream processors, while the HD 4850 costs $150 and has 800 stream processors. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770
