I have just added a memory stick to my computer. Is there a quick way in
which I can back it up to my hard drive or vice versa?

Adding a memory stick can't be backed up to a hard drive nor does adding
more memory necessitate a need to do a system backup. Of course running
backups is an important thing to do but is unrelated to adding memory
sticks.
