ok im going for pure gaming here no apps or anything else. i want to stick with AMD cause at the moment the i7 is a bit more then i can afford.

AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

out of these 2 CPUs are you going to see a big difference in gaming?

both are basically the same unless you are going to OVerclock. 955 BE if so. the 200 Mhz difference doesnt do too much good really. It takes more than that to show a big improvement to the eyes. If no OC is required go with the 945.

------------------------------ AMD, INTEL, ATI, NVIDIA. IT DONT MATTER. THEY ARE ALL GOOD JUST GET MORE.

I would spend the extra 20.00 dollars for an extra 200mhz... It's 10.00$ for every 100Mhz... hehe

If you are not overclocking like xtc28 said..... then just get the 945, but don't complain later on in the forums that you can't overclock and that your chip is outdated.... hehe [:lectrocrew]
