Hello dear reader, i currently have an "Intel D945GCF" running and E6320 it says it supports 65nM technology however i want to be shure befor i go and buy a $186 cuad core CPU.

P.S. the Cpu im upgradeing to is an "Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor HH80562PH0568M - 2.40GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Kentsfield, Quad-Core, OEM, Socket 775, Processor". http://www.tigerdirect.com/applica [...] No=2643933

So, will my MoBo support it?

Well thank you, i have read horror story's of people buying wrong parts, and i was not able to find a sold answer when i "googled" my MoBo.

I find it odd my CPU is a 65nm CPU and so is the q6600 but they cannot go on the same MoBo...well thanks a bunch.

Nope. Preety old MicroATX chipset 945G is. Eventhough most of them can support 1066/1333 FSB, 65nm dual's is the limit.

The number of cores does indeed seem to be the problem, not the manufacturing process.
