Unmountable Boot Volume using xp

I am getting this message and cant go into the safe mode, what do I do

  1. Boot from a Windows XP CD, get into the Recovery console and run chkdsk c: /p/r until there are no errors.
  2. Sounds like a plan, BUT how do you do this if the computer does not have a disk drive? I have the recovery disk from my desktop, but don't know how to get that onto my Dell Inspiron Mini. I tried copying Recovery Disk onto a jump drive, but doesn't work when I try to restart. Thank you!
