Hey hey, Im really wanting to use the X48 mobo in CF to utilize the true 16x16 PCI-E. Im wondering which brand would be the best, and which one out of the many x48 mobo's is best. Thanks!

Some ideas, sorted by price (including shipping). I stopped at $235 because the more expensive boards aren't worth it IMO, except for a few people. I included x38 because it also does 16x+16x and it's a little cheaper.

I normally recommend the last two above.
The GA-X48-DS5 looks very nice. I especially like the part about 8 SATA ports. However, it's a new model and I'd wait for more reviews before buying.

Take out that X38 DFI board aevm. Im preety sure the OP dosent want to deal with that ridiculous NB heatsink, espically since he will be going with an aftermarket cooler (in his new build post).

DFI has more than a handful of boards that are ruined buy their stupid cooling configurations.

Oops! OK, that's out.

@Desertfoxx41: first pick a motherboard, then pick a cooler that actually fits on it. Some combinations are indeed not working. Here's a trick that usually helps: read the user reviews for the motherboard at newegg, then pick a cooler that is already mentioned there :)
