hello,

It is very important to have this problem resolved.. My area is rural, and my computer is on Solar Power Using DC-DC PSU

this pc is a server and runs 24hrs.. and I would like vista to turn off the hdd's after x..set minutes.
i have waited hours and it doesn't turn them off.. I am using the latest drivers for everything

my mobo is Asus M7NPV-VM with HDTV adapter
it's Nforce 4 430 with 6150vga and don't know whats going on.. I just got this motherboard.

any help is appreciated.

Resolved...

I installed the standard pci ide drivers for the sata controller..

the drives shutdown now..

can anyone tell me if the standard pci ides will corrupt data or any negative effects to what i've just done?
