I have recieved a new computer built. It wasn't set up right it seems. My cpu is an E8400 they are suppost to run at 3GHZ but it's running at 2.8!

Core speed:2833MHZ(should be 3000MHZ!!!!!!)
Multiplier:X8.5(suppost to be X9???)
Bus:333.3MHZ
FSB:1333.2MHZ
Core voltage: 1.088

I've never used the bios or anything before.

333.3 X9 =2999.7

which should be my stock speed. So should i change the multiplier to 9???

If it changes, then that's what you should do.

lol weird bug, where did you buy your comp from?

usually these things are defaulted and you have to go in and manually change it

maybe they were hoping for a paid and expensive service call?
