im going to buy xps 630 next month and i was wondering what would be the best graphics choice. it has 6 or seven different options but i want dual cards so i can only choose out of 2 ati radeon hd 3870 in cf or i can have 2 nvidia geforce 9800gt in sli. both cards are 512mb and pci-e. the proccesor that will be in the pc is core 2 quad at 2.4ghz and 4gb ram at 4 dimms at 800mhz. so dual hd 3870 or dual 9800gt?
really, their options are horribly priced. unless you are outside of the US and can't buy through newegg.com, i'd just get the default 3870 and upgrade it on your own to a 4850/70 or something else. if you are stuck buying only through dell, maybe the dual 9800gt option, but i really have difficulty recommending it at that price.

Do yourself a favor, sign up at the Dell forums and do some research first.
There are a couple of issue's with the 630 that have prompted Dell to issue refunds.
The biggest would be that the x16 PCIE slots are locked at x8 wether you use one card or two.
