Last response: in Windows XP
Hello,when I click on any desktop item such as Mozilla or HP items it ask me 'open with'....why? I installed AVG to remove the xp 2010 virus and since then I cant just click on anything without this happening. Help please!

The links may be 'broken'. 'Open with' is asking for the software program that is currently installed needed to open that particular program. Try installing and running Ccleaner registry repair. Reinstalling the software that is potentially corrupted may be required. Even a repair install of the XP OS may be required if the registry is not repairable with Ccleaner or similar.
