For reference, I am talking about this CPU:

I am wondering how it compares to the Intel CPU at this pricepoint, the E2220 Allendale :

I am building a new dual core PC and really want to restrict myself to the 80-90$ range for CPUs, and I'm not sure how these 2 would compare.

Apparently the 5400+ overclocks like a dream, but the E2220 has a larger cache. I will be running games like WoW, D2, WC3 and the like, not very challenging.

Thanks for any feedback.

The AMD processor will be faster at stock, the Intel one will be faster if you overclock. If you will overclock, get the Intel, if not, the AMD.
