Can someone explain the 16-phase power(MB) to me?
I saw some 8 phase power motherboards when I was browsing but this asus board is a 16.

its just the amount of "filters" the power goes through to provide clean power to the CPU helps in large voltage events but if i recall i read that the Asus is actually 8x2 not true 16 (someone correct me)

under the specs on newegg for this board it says "The World’s 1st True 16-Phase Power"... so I'm guessing it is. Thanks for the info. It doesnt sound like 16 or 8 is really going to affect my cp use?!
