Check the advanced settings in your bios. There should be a place that shows you your hardware temps. Monitor it for an hour or so and see what it averages with no load. Then compare it to the data you get from SpeedFan and NvSM. Which ever is closer is probably right. I found the same problem and the NvSM was closer.
