Spinpoint F1 1TB bios problem with mobo k8V

i can not install a new hard drive samsung spinpoint f1 cables are ok
message:via raid bios can not be installed
i have a maxtor sata drive installed and works fine (also sata)i use a asus k8v mobo
anyone an idea how to fix this?

Is the other drive SATA 1 or SATA 2? Your motherboard might not be compatible with the Samsung F1 if it's configured as SATA 2.
