Hi,
I've a Palm IIIxe PDA. Now I'm looking for a tool which is running with
Linux and Windows to manage the data of the PDA. My idea was to put the
data directory on my debian server and to access it with my notebook which
is running both Debian and Windows XP. Thus, I could manage the data with
both OS.
Are there any tools which could solve my program?

Assuming win XP uses a filesystem that *nix can read/write (VFAT?),
then just mount your Windows filesystem in Linux. If not, (HPFS?)
then create a 3rd filesystem that _both_ Win and *nix can
read/write.
Now, in *nix, use Pilot-xfer, or your tool of choice. Either back up
directly or have a post-processing script that copies files to the
equivalent of c:\Palm\username\Backup\ and
c:\Palm\Username\Datebook\ or whatever.
Then, windows will see it.
Basically, the Win Palm Desktop isn't customizable very much, and
will expect to see your data in certain locations. Maybe you can
trick it by using an alias/shortcut, but even that will only work a
bit. So you need to write some *nix scripts to read from and write
to the locations Windows expects.
Personally, its just a pain, and I would drop Win and use Linux
only. Actually, not "I would", but "I have".
