RAID 1 New System Build

I'm building a new system with two hard drives that I plan to set up in a RAID 1 configuration.

Do I set up the RAID 1 array before I install the OS? I'll be using Windows 7 Ultimate.

If before the OS installation, will that affect the installation speed?

If one of the drives fails during installation do I start over or keep going and fix the failed drive later?

1- No, the installation of the OS must be done after the set up the RAID 1

2- No, the installation process is the same if you have a RAID or not.

3- Yes you can keep the installation process, and fix the RAID 1 from the disk manager later.
