Mix Memory?

I'm in the process of building a unit with a Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLI Mainboard. I see that the board has 4 RAM slots (2 Yellow and 2 Black). I'm planning to have 4GB of RAM using 2 sticks. If I want to later put in another two sticks into the black slots, do they have to be the same as the first two sticks? Do #3 and #4 have to be the same?

Ideally, yes they should.

BUT, it would probably be ok. Sometimes problems arise but it is rare.

the reason you would want them to be the same is so the ram timings and the voltages match.
