I just recently purchased a GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L motherboard from newegg.com along with Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D.

The board has two DDR2 800 slots can I use the DDR2 1066 with this board and just run it at a lower frequency.

Thanks hommie. I just realized they have a configurator on their page. It's been quite a while since I've built a machine I didn't realize most vendors have a configurator now.
