Corsair 750W P/S isn't in stock, but that's on the wishlist.
I have Arctic Silver 5 already.

I want to shave off a few bucks since I want it under 1600 (including shipping/handling + tax from newegg), and its like 1607 right now.

The biggest questions are the memory and the power supply. I know that the 750 is a good one but I wonder if it's excessive. In the future I will add 4 more GB of memory and a second 4870. Is 700W enough? I saw an OCZ P/S that was cheaper at 700W and had a combo deal with one of the items.

The memory itself, I'm not sure about, it seemed cheaper than most other options and has CAS 4. I'm planning to overclock the 8400 to at least 3.6 and maybe a little higher. Any recommendations? I don't want the computer to get more expensive.

Thanks for all the help.

Yes 700W should be enough to CrossFire 4870. Imo, stick with the Corsair 750TX. The Corsair PSUs are top of the line. I recommend Corsair and PP&C.

Consider this PSU too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817703009

The P5E is a good board but why not get a newer P45 based motherboard?

If willing to drop CrossFire go with one of these:

If you need CrossFire:

Overall, very good build.

from what I can tell the reactions to 2xPCI-E2.0 x16 are mixed, some say future games and crossfire will get a much larger boost than with a x16 x8 config, or a x8 x8 config. THough I'm not sure if it's worth the extra 100

By the time that 2 PCIe x16 is needed your rig will be ancient. 2 PCIe x8 is fine for now.

Also, about the case, it has the powersupply located on the bottom of the case? Bad or good?

And could someone tell me whether this RAM is a good choice for OCing? I'm only looking to push it to 4.0 at the very top, most likely only 3.6 (which doesn't require an OC right?)

Build looks good.

Don't know about how the OCing will be on that RAM. As long as the PSU has long cables a bottom PSU is fine.
