I like to play at 1920x1200 with 16AA/AF. Is two GTX 280 an over kill.

i think it would be overkill. i would recommend 2 gtx 260 in sli or 2 4870x2 in cf.

The 4870x2 may just own G280 in SLI for just 60% of the cost. Yes, itd be overkill to your wallet

You really think that's gonna happen? Never mind owning, I'd be super impressed (and want one) if it manages to trade blows more than just an odd game.

Because of the side port, its gonna be close. The advantages with inner communication helps this card, and alreafy the 4870 isnt that far off from the G280. Itll be so close, people wont bother to spend the extra money for sli. Plus, Ive heard its within 5% of just 1 G280 anyways
