Something seems to be wrong with my rig. Why is the ram on my 945 so slow and why it is hardly beating the Q6600?

The problem is that you are using single channel of memory
thus using only half the memory bandwidth available to processor.

Use two separate Memory modules in dua channel configuration to achieve better performance
and let the processor in question unleash its power of processing!

Under CPU-Z memory tab shows Channel# as single which means you are using single channel.
If you are using 2 memory modules then refer to motherboard manual/ support guide
to put them in dual channel configuration.

There is definately something wrong with your rig.......its YOU!

1 2gb stick of ram on a system with a P2 945? Are you serious? ROFL

I suggest you learn to read your motherboard manual and understand proper configurations before comparing your system to other systems.
