Hi all,

I've recently got two identical memory sticks of Kingston DDR2-800, 1GB each.
The memory works great when I place it in different channels, and, as expected, it works in a single channel mode (with 667).
When I try to place the sticks in the same channel to get a dual channel mode, I had the three beeps that indicate a memory problem.

My motherboard is D945PSN, it supports up to 667 memory speed. As I understand there shouldn't be any special problem for the memory to work in a dual channel in 667 speed each.
My BIOS version is not updated but I have passed all over the Releases notes for the BIOS update and it doesn't seems to be any update related to memory problems.

Any ideas for possible problems?

thanks

You want a stick in each channel (that's different channels) for dual channel mode. Putting both sticks into one channel would only be one channel.

Not sure, you could try clearing the CMOS.
I looked at the following - http://www.intel.com/support/mothe [...] 010249.htm and it seems that 3 beeps reports a "Base 64 K memory failure". The linked page has some information on what to try to remedy the error.
