Ok last summer i got this computer. Its a Micron PC and it has a Pentium 4 CPU clocked at 2.4 Ghz or rather 2.399. I just put 1 Gig of RAM to help it but i still need just a bit more processing power to get through normal task. It takes like 2 hours just to convert to M4v format from AVI. It has a INTEL MOBO D845GRG. Bus clock shows at 100 Megahertz. I also cant pull up any BIOS. I want to overclock to help but dont want to break my computer. Any suggestions? maybe just to 2.6 ghz would help but is still has stock cooling.

No its not socket 478. The E5200 is LGA775. I have this P4 CPU aswell, :D

Since its an Intel board, there's are slim chance you could overclock on it. You could try software, i.e ClockGen, SetFSB

Those programs might not even work for your motherboard, so run them and see if they even recognize the motherboard.

Stock should be fine, but I doubt you'd get more than a 400MHz+ increase without voltage adjustment.
