I am looking to upgrade, but I need to start with my motherboard. But I already have a really nice 4850, so I was thinking that instead of selling it or something, I can pair it with another one and have a 4870 performance (maybe more) with less money. So, I am looking for a crossfire and not so expensive mobo (if you don't think this is a good idea, please say so).
I was looking at some brands and I am down to these (I can't put links, since these are the available ones from a Greek website, so you wouldn't understand much anyway):
Foxconn P45A-S
DFI LP DK P45-T2RS
ECS P45T-A (this one does not support 1066 RAM, which worries me, even though I only plan to use PC2-6400 RAM)
These are all pretty cheap and some (the DFI) can OC easily (even though I am not really interested in that; I am afraid of OCing). Any other recommendations in that price category? Any good ASUS crossfire mobos out there?
a friend of mine picked up the DFI micro atx board a couple of weeks ago. Good board. x-fire support and built the way a board should be. Think it was about a buck and a half.
