Here are the specs for the pc I'm building CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Mobo: ASUS M4A79T Deluxe Memory 6GB: (3 x 2GB) Power supply: Cooler Master Video Card: PNY GeForce GTS 250 Do you think I need a liquid cooling system and if so, what ndo you suggest?
you might get a better response at amd.com forums.
I don't think you need liquid cooling. You have single video card that can be cooled on air. And your proccy can hit high GHz on air.
No. You never "need" liquid cooling. It is a chioce made by people who are big on overclocking, or want a quieter system without all the fan noise.
You can buy a cheap watercooling setup and get as good as air cooling temps. Or you can spend about $350+ for a decent rig to WC your CPU and GPU. You can do almost as good on air for under $150 with really good fans, coolers and none of the hassle of watercooling. One of the most current and best written general guides for watercooling. http://gilgameshreviews.com/index. [...] s&catid=40verclocking-and-cooling&Itemid=86
^+1. A good WC loop can be had for $200 or so ASSUMING you are willing to mod. A good WC loop will set you back $300-400 (CPU + GPU)
