Just put together a new comp, PQ5 Pro board with two drives a Hitachi 250 gb and a 1 tb samsung. It always identifies the Hitachi but its off and on with the Samsung (currently NOT recognizing. I have the 1306 bios, only one other bios is listed on the asus website, and it doesnt say anything about improving hard drive compatibility, just memory. Any ideas?

I had the same issue. The Samsung drive I had was bad. I replaced it and all is well.

Only this drive is not bad. It comes from a previous build and worked perfectly. It has worked fine on this build but is only identified maybe 50 percent of the time if it is disconnected and reconnected.
