I am getting a TV tuner. I have to be able to get the off the air hi def stuff, as well as be compatible with cable/satellite either straight from the wall or through the company's tuner. I also need an S-video in, as well as the standard yellow vid in with left and right audio. USB/Firewire interface is a plus, but if a better product is offered for PCI/PCI-E I will go for that. FM tuner is a plus but not required. I have somewhat narrowed it down to these tuners, but would look at more if they are better:

Price is not really an object, though I wouldn't want to spend more than the AutumnWave tuners are... My monitor is 28", and sometimes I use a projector. OS is Vista home basic, but I could and have been meaning to upgrade to some 64 bit system soon so I can get all of my 4 GB of memory.

Forget about getting HD from cable/ Satellite. Standard channels will be no problem but you wont get HD from satellite/cable. Its just the way it is, they like to charge you $10-15 extra for DVR services, they arent gonna give that up.
