Hello people, I own a computer in a Micro ATX casing and have a Micro ATX motherboard, the ECS 945GCT-M2 V1.0A.

I currently have a GeForce 8600GT and I want to upgrade to a Radeon 4850.
Assuming I change my casing to a large casing, will a Micro ATX motherboard be able to accomodate a 4850? The 8600GT is about 6 and a half inches while the 4850 comes close to 10 inches. The PCI Express slot is somehow rather near to the SATA ports. So I'm not too sure if I'll be able to place a 4850 on a Micro ATX motherboard. I also heard about the overheating problem, but I'll probably increase the fan speed manually because noise is not a problem for me.

Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks a lot!

well, you could measure what space you have, most sata cables nowadays comes with a 90 degree attachment end, if you have that, then if you have room in the case, then have the angled side of the sata cable on the mobo and you should be good
