Got a problematic geforce 8800 gt?

Hey guys,

Well i assembled a new pc and i put a gainward geforce 8800gt 1gb edition.I installed windows vista 32bit sp1 from here and installed everythin fine except my gfx card.I tried everything i could think of.I installed the drivers provided with the card and the newly drivers from nvidia but still the problem persists.

The problem:After installing the drivers and rebooting,vista gets past the loading screen and stays there.Sometimes if i try to change the DVI cable between the two DVI ports at the back of the pc i might get past the loading screen and show me the desktop.BUT after 10seconds the whole pc freezes even mouse and keyboard.

Any solutions?
