Cannot go higher than a multiplier of 4 with phenom II x945

i try to change it in bios and when i run cpu-z it shows it is still 4x for 802mhz


when i try to change it with overdrive it just refuses to do anything.


can anyone help?

  1. i think your overheating so the multiply scales down to fight the heat
  2. cpu temp is under 40c
  3. get prime95 and test it, as soon as you start a stress test it should go up to full speed (small fft's)
  4. it still does not go higher than a core clock of 802mhz
