Pentium 4 xppro versus dual core xppro

Hello,what is the performance difference between a pentium 4 (3.06 ghz) running xppro (sp3)and a dual core computer running xpro (sp3)?

It depends on the systems, but dual core will be faster by a pretty noticable amount. Depends on what you are doing. If you turn it on and watch the pretty blue screen, they both will be the same. Video editing, recoding media, gaming, all will be much faster on a dual core with enough RAM and a decent video card. Web browsing, typing up documents, not so much.
