M500 on the Internet

Just a couple questions about accessing the Internet with my Palm.

I own an IBM Workpad c500 (Palm m500) and recently bought the 56k modem
for it. I would like to sign up for an Earthlink account and do the
following with this setup:

1) Download email, respond offline (using my keyboard) and upload
2) Do some light browsing -- mostly for news stories
3) Access a couple newsgroups

I'm guessing the software that came with the Connectivity kit would do
this (except for the newsgroup reading) -- but I've also heard that
Eudora 2.1 for Palm is a good suite for this purpose. Any suggestions?

Will I have any trouble accessing the Internet via Earthlink using this
modem on the c500?

I realize this won't be the fastest system in the world, but it
wouldn't have to be.

Thanks for any advice and pointing me to good applications for this
purpose.
