Need feedback on a $500 custom system

I have a $500 budget and I used Newegg for all the components. It came to exactly $499.79. I need to know if this system is decent or not for how much it costs. Also if one of the parts are incompatibly with something please tell me.

Update: Will a motherboard with PCIe x16 support PCIe x16 2.0 graphics cards?

Yes your mobo will play with PCIE 2.0. You won't get the full 2.0 throughput, but with the cards your looking at (go with a 3850 suggested by San Pedro or zenmaster) you won't need the 2.0 throughput. The 3850 rocks the 8600 series world.

If you stick with your motherboard be prepared to upgrade the BIOS.

The chipset is old, but Vista will play with it. (It came out about a month before Vista went to OEMs).

I'm 100% positive 380w will suffice for this system even with a large OC on the processor. With this build you get pretty nice parts as well. Anybody care to comment?

**Alternatively, you could switch the processor and motherboard and go with AMD so you don't have to bother overclocking at all

By doing this, you'd get a tad more out of your 3850 with hybrid CF, and you'd likely save some power on idle as compared to a comparitively overclocked 2180 from intel **
