5c temp??

Hi folks,

I installed a new 5400 x2 BE and am getting some unusual temps. Every tool I use (core temp, everest, etc) has temps reading between 5 and 10 degrees c. Obviously this cant be right. Any ideas?

What does your bios say?

the temperature sensor is most likely broken. but still check in your bios to see what the readings are. if they still don't make sense, then RMA the chip; it's obviously not working correctly.

It also could be the motherboard that's defective.

Almost thought you broke my personal record. I'm using a E2140 at stock in winter its idling around 7c - 9c .

Uhm, no I'm not thanks to a good hsf, thermal paste and cooling system its running in the singles. But only in winter .
