Hi!
I can trade between a new ATI HD Radeon 3850 from Nvidia 7600 GS.
Just looking at it you can decide which is better.
Why I should or shouldn't trade isn't the question.
The ATI card uses to me unknown power connector - 6pin connector.
My new PC(I have a new pc btw :) ) says that I need to properly configure the card before I boot, so the power supply is missing, because I didn't plug it, because I can't!
The PSU I'm using doesn't have the 6pin connector so I searched and found that there is a connector that has 6pin at one end and 4pin at the other end.
Like this one here: http://global.ebay.com/gbh/viItem?ItemId=270275785388
Now it just makes me wonder, if I don't have this conncector to the PSU, wouldn't it be dangerous to use this special connector?
Couldn't it make any damage to the videocard or PC?
I mean, if it's not there maybe it isn't suppose to be there.

Well, I think that pin does have 12V(HDD uses 12V right?) and my PSU has 450W, that's the minimum required for the videocard.
Why doesn't PSU's have these 6-pin connectors, any limitations or something?

you should think about upgrading the PSU. the 8800 requires 450 true but that is just the vid card alone. 600 should be your minimum
