Motherboards, motherboards, motherboards.. Theres so many and I am in need of some assistance. I am building a good gaming computer. My limit is MAX 2 grand and when I say max I mean with shipping and tax. I saw so many motherboards and they are all so similar so a similar price but what one is better for a soon to be gamer? I dont think I want to spend over 500 dollars for a motherboard because my graphics card might be aroiund 400-500 and my budget is limited.

Here are some choices, I think I might got intel because from what Iv read they are better.

EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA

So if you could me find a good gaming motherboard it would be really helpfull and please do not limit your advice from this list mention any other motherboard just what is good and a good value.

I would go for ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA because the difference between X38 and X48 isnt much, also i choose a DDR2 board instead of DDR3 because again the difference isnt much and DDR2 is cheaper too:)

If you only have one system, you might want to consider getting 2 idental lower priced p45 boards. It's a royal pain to rma a board, and some aren't even available when the warranty expires.

I don't understand O1die, why on earth would I need two motherboards?
