I was lead to believe that if a headset use a "USB" it can only use the onboard sound.

I currently have a X-FI Titanium Champion sound card. Running Vista 64bit premium.
I'm currently using a Senheisser 350 headset.
My future headset will be this: http://www2.razerzone.com/Megalodon/

So my question is:
That headset takes "USB"
So can it use my sound card?
Or USB can ONLY use my onboard.

USB headsets are their own sound card. They dont use onboard, and they dont use your discrete card. Get a normal jacked set of headphones. Not USB.
