I need some help. I just got a new computer and whenever i talk on the mic the sound from my headphones go through it on Ventrilo and all other programs. How do i fix this? I forgot how I did it on my old computer. This is also a xp

Are you saying you're hearing your own voice on the headphones when you speak into the microphone?

I don't really understand the question either, so here's my half-bewildered response:

It sounds like you have playback turned on for your mic, so that whenever you speak, it is played back through your speakers. Try entering your sound controlling program / menu / system / the thing that controls your mic gain and feedback. There should be an option there to turn off playback.

Switch the default headphone playback device in the control panel.
