Hey so I just got a Q6600 without fan and have a 630 CPU fan laying around am I able to use that or will the Q6600 be too hot for it?
Just wondering if the stock fan and older model fan were the same..... because they look the same........

If you plan to OC you may still want a better after market cooler.

Well... The Q6600 G0 is a 95W CPU. The 630 P4 is a 84W CPU.

It should work okay for stock, might run warm. I wouldn't recommend OC'ing it, since your raise the TDP or wattage that will cause it to run hotter.
