however, i'm an impatient soul, and somebody made an almost identical post in the correct section roughly 3 days ago, with not one reply - so forgive me pls :D
anyway - my brother decided to be an *******, and due to a long series of events, broke my (yes, PCI) wireless card: so I could go and just buy a random one from an etailer, but I long since decided basing things off my own thoughts frequently turns out wrong :P.

Hence, what is the best "bang for buck" wireless card that one could get for roughly 25 pounds (roughly 50$ I think at current exchange rates...)
(i'm writing this on my laptop, in case you are wondering - but I wont be playing any games on this POS :D)

These D Link WDA-2320's work great with Vista 64 as well as any thing prior. I have three or four of them. Use them all time with Vista 64/32 and XP Pro and Home as well.

Hehe..

Whelp looking at the specs:

- Supports advanced 2T2R MIMO technology with data rate up to 300Mbps

I suppose your router will have to have that feature at least to give you that kind a through- put.

BTW, how did your brother break it? Was it the antenna that broke, and so having 3 helps your chances in keeping a connection?

he broke the antenna - but I couldnt find a new one anywhere so.... :( (admittedly, the wireless card was pretty old - from my first ever build :))

don't get me wrong with the rosewill tag, this is an EXCELLENT card... i got it for my dad, and his pc is about 50 ft[probably more] away from the router, with plenty of walls and doors in between, and he never drops below an 85% connection
