I set my core i7 chip to the dummy OC in the EVGA x58 bios. I changed my memory timings and it's all setup fine. It runs stable. In EVGA E-Leet I'm reporting:

1.305v
3.35ghz
multiplier at x21 (turbo enabled)
Bus 160
QPI link 2871

SPECS:
Core i7 920 2.67 - OC to 3.35
2x GTS 250 1GB
Asetek LCLC (CPU fan)
6GB Kingston DDR3 1333mhz

My core idle temps are in the lower 40's and loaded in WoW they break 60C sometimes. I am guessing this is a little hot conisidering the LCLC is supposed to be a quality cooler. Are these normal temps with this OC?

You sure you need 1.3v?

Also those are fine temps. They will be fine up to 75c.

No. As a matter of fact I lowered the Vcore to 1.1v when I was messing around in the BIOS and it was stable on 2.67. However, since I used the auto-oc the vcore option is greyed out. I am guessing that since I used the auto-OC it won't let me lower vcore? If I can still lower it, how can I go about doing so?

I appreciate the help.

Yeah dude. dont do the auto overclock... If you want to do a real simnple overclock read my guide. (=

I was just worried about my temps being high. I see people saying they have 34C on idle with a cooler that is supposed to be worse than mine and I sit at low 40's idle and almost 62 while gaming.

I have the Asus P6T Deluxe w/OC Palm and have my Cpu Voltage set to auto (1.21v) and at 180 Block. It runs at 3.2ghz and been stable for over 6 months.

Following the guide and I haven't seen much of a change in temps, which I think is wierd. I am at:

3.2ghz, mult. x21, 153bclk, 1.2v vcore, and memory is at 2:8 since its only 1333mhz.

I set the vocre at 1.2 and EVGA E-Leet has it as 1.1176 to 1.188. Slight variance.

I wonder how low I can go on the vcore. What is the best way to test it out? Also, should I leave VDroop enabled?

CPU: 34C
VREG: 51C
System: 38C

Cores: 48,48,51,48

Yes vdroop should be enabled.

You will risk burning out the cpu if you dissable it. But you are getting alot of vdroop.

What speed fan do you have on the lclc? Wich way is it blowing?

It should be alligned between the case and the radiator. And blowing into the case.

those are low voltages....

I cant believe that your still getting those high temps...

What is it at load now?

this is very strange... i'm playing wow and the temps haven't moved... acutally down a few degrees from idle haha.

i am at 51,49,51,50 while playing. Load during game is only like 15% max I think.

My 2x GTS 250 are hanging under 65 though.

EDIT: the radiator is hooked up to the back lower fan and the tubes run to it from the CPU fan.

EDIT AGAIN: I don't think it's the CPU heatsink. I believe I just have a crappy fan setup. I am giong to tuy 4 side case fans and blast them all. It should do the trick.
