New Gaming System Spec

Below is a new system spec, just wanted any advice or comments that could help. I'm possibly gonna change the CPU now that the prices will change anytime.

What resolution will u play at ?

I use a 26" widescreen TV, can't think off the top of my head what res it's at atm.

If its 1280x1024 or lower u wont need SLI,also i say go for a DDR2 800 RAM with 4-4-4-x or lower timings because the difference between DDR2 800 and 1066 isn't much and DDR2 800 OCs very good too.

ok switched out the ram, what would you recommend GPU wise??

As i said if u play @ 1280x1024 or lower there is no need for SLI,so i say go for single GTX 260 or HD 4870.

One thing I see is the raptop, unless they've released a new version since I prowled the web a few months ago then a fast seagate drive will almost match it in performance.

I'd check the charts just to make sure on it before you shell out a ton for a raptor.

May be able to get a raid 5 going with 3 500 GB drives which could outperform and allow for same storage and fault tolerance.

Just a crazy thought, I personally haven't bothered with RAID yet but I've been wanting to.

Almost all mobo's these days support it with SATA.
