Need longer power adapter cable for my external or extention

Hey everyone,

I have an external hard drive that I made using an Icy Dock external enclose.
Thing is that the power adapter cable thing is really short and doesn't work that well for me.
Is there any place where I can get a longer one.
I have included a pic of it and the label it has. Label is in three parts.

How short is too short? my Wellend ones are about 3 foot long.
I havn't heard of any adaptors to make them longer.

I was hoping for around 5 to 6 feet.
The one I got is just too short to make using the external really comfortable
I would like to have it on my other side of the desk, but it's just too short

Is there some type of extension for the 4 pin power cable? I saw some on newegg, but I think its for videos and I don't want it to blow up if I plug it into mine.

I am not sure if it will work or not see as how it's for videos

I would be asking a specialist electronic store, if they don't have one, maybe they can make one to order, but it wouldn't be cheap.
I have a problem trying out video leads as the connections could be and probably are wrong.
This a power cable and there is also the chance, that with low a voltage power supply, the extra length may increase the resistance to the point where insufficient power gets to the hard drive.

The power cord comes from something that plugs into a wall outlet or power bar, right? So why not use a regular 110 VAC extension cord BEFORE the "power brick"?

brick piece is the one that is too short, it is the one that goes from external to brick, the first picture.
unless theres a long 2 hole pinned thing like in the first pick thats around 6 feet that is the only way i wont need a long brick extender
