Hi,

I'm midway through a computer project, and it would help me out a lot if I could find power chords for my monitor and PSU that are much shorter than the normal length. I would prefer less than a foot in length. That's about the only requirement I have: shorter than the usual. I doubt I'd be able to cut and splice the ones I have, as I have no experience in that area.

thanks for your time

Cables are long thats the way life is. Just gather the loose cables and put them in one neat pile.

go to your local hardware store in the electrical department. you will find male plugs. cut your cord to the length you want, then strip back the casing and attach the wires into the new male plug. Thats the quick and dirty, or...

All you need is a knife and electrical tape. Cut the cords from the center and splice them back together and put the tape around each individual wire. Don't really need a new plug.

Edit: Just checked out that link. I believe that's exactly what you originally asked for, good find.
