How to overclock a Q6600
G0 stepping
Sphere coolermaster
Gigabyte P35-S3g

I tried to overclock it from 2.4 to 2.5 and tried OCCT, but it kept saying my cpu was too hot.

What should I do?

Thank You for your help

I am new to overclocking as well as to this forum.

Thank you again.

The first thing you should do is make sure your computer has good ventilation.

EX. extra case fans running and also an aftermarket cpu cooler.

I use the sunbeam core contact cooler with the supplied thermal paste and it is great.

Start there and then try overclocking.

Hope this helps.

What do you mean by an aftermarket cooler/fan? Isn't a coolermaster sphere enough?

Newbie

Thank you

*SorryI mean i am a newbie
