I have a mid-tower case and was wanting to change out the HSF for my CPU and GPU also I was thinking about changing the fan in my PSU and the case fan

I need help with deciding which will keep my PC the coolest and quietest
Computer Specs
Q6600 LGA 775
Diamond 4850 4pin (have minimum clearance)
600W Game X Stream

Case/PSU
Automatic Fan Controls vs. Manual Fan Controls(Recommend me a good controller)

Open Case (Side Panel Open) vs. Closed Case

Need Recommendations for 120mm Fans for the PSU and 92mm Fans for Case(Needs to be Quiet)

CPU HSF
Zalman 9700 LED vs. Zalman 9700 NT

Zalman 9700 vs. Tower Cooler(must be 90(L) x 124(W) x 142(H) mm or less, if the cooler is taller than 142mm I have to keep case open)[MY BACKPLATE IS STUCK TO MY MOBO SO RECOMMEND COOLERS THAT SCREW IN]

GPU HSF
Accelero S1R2 + 120mm Fan(Must have Case Open + Fan will be literally 2-3 mm from my sound card) vs. Accelero Twin Turbo(Not sure if it'll fit) vs. VF1000

My Budget is $140 for Auto Fan and $170 for Manual Fan

Finally... Can I build a water cooling for $170? Must include cooler for GPU! doubt it but can't hurt to ask.

Hope to read some good recommendations

DO NOT mess with the PSU unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing. Thos caps in a PSU can kill you.

For quiet fans look in to Scythe and Yate Loon fans.

Have you tried using a bit of alcohol/acetone to remove it. Use a dropper and drop a few on to the side of the plate.

Not for $170. For $300+ yes.

for the PSU i was going to just replace the fan, cut wires clip them put'em together tape them DONE
or... just clip stock fan out and put 120mm fan with 3 pin connect and plug into a fan controller either or is easy

backplate is permanently stuck on mobo (dell mobo)

bout water cooling... wasn't really expecting much
around $125 for just the water block on GPU...

anyways thanks

I'v done the same thing, but that wasn't my point. My point is that UNLESS you know HOW to drain the caps and the risk involved DO NOT mess with the PSU.

If you have a total budget of $310 why not go with WCing for at least the CPU or GPU?

^Nope.

Are you in to DIY, if so, WCing for CPU only can be done for less than $200.

Try a new case with more fans, like the Antec 900 or the 902. Then replace the fans with Scythe S-Flex (unless you like blue LED's). Avoid most prebuilt watercooling kits, as they SUCK!!!!!!!!! (excepting the Swiftech kits).

*EDIT* forgot the links

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129021
$105 Antec 900 (has a $10 instant off now)

$58 Noctua NH-U12P (I use this on my Phenom II 940, and my temps never go above 42c)
