So, my friend has a really crappy onboard ATI video thing. He wants to upgrade. The problem being, he really doesn't want me to open up his PC until the graphics card HAS to be installed. I have no way of checking whether his PC has PCI-e slots, PCI, AGP, etc. His computer is an HP a1267c. Now I know he will be pretty bottlenecked by his CPU, but he is on a really tight budget. He would like to get the best bang for the buck preferably below $50, maybe a bit more. I have already looked for this info online, but could not really find it. If anyone knows anything, PLEASE tell me here.

Well the MOBO in that PC has a pci express slot. Under 50 dollars would probably have to be something like a 3450, but you could get a 9500gt for about 70, or a 3850 for around 90.

But yeah, like you pointed out, the cpu is not so fantastic any how.

Nice price and a nice match for an aging system. It's also not very power demanding and doesn't require a pci-e power lead off his (edit: oops) PSU (which he may not have).
