Hello folks

I am planning to upgrade to Q6600/E8500 with 2x2GB DDR2 800 and a 9800GT. Pretty standard, i know, but i don't need a top notch PC and have a limited budget. And i'm not looking to overclock.

My question is: As the intel G31 supports this config and i'm not looking at overclocking, is there really any need to fork out the extra cash for a i.e P43/45 mobo, and if yes, what will be the benefits?

Thanx in advance :)

Intel G31/P31 are limited to 4GB MAX and do not support memory remapping. When 4GB is installed, you get the old 32-bit limitation with a good chunk of RAM being lost to address space constraints. 64-bit OS won't matter, its a hardware limit.
