In windows mode for any game I play, when I maximize the window, the game lags and I get around 5 fps. It lags the same, whether its at 800X600 lowest settings, or 1680x1050 highest setting. I never had this problem when I was using an 8800 GTS. Is there a setting or something in the Catalyst Control Center that I could change to fix this? Thanks

Did you completely get rid of your Nvidia drivers before you installed the 4870? That's what first comes to mind.
