System freeze with external drive

Hello,
I've instaled external drive, but the system doesn't boot up get stuck in first screen and doesn't react to any input. If I unplug the drive the system works. Any idea how to fix this, so I dont have to unplug the drive all the time on start of the PC? Thank you

Their is something wrong with one of your USB slot try plugging it into another USB slot in your computer. After booting up also try checking that external for errors - right click that external drive in My Computer then click properties>Tools>Check now.

Thanks for the idea it was a glitch in software at the desktop. Update windows did the trick and it works now as a clock.
